Where to stay near Turin with free parking (and no restricted traffic zone)

How much does parking cost in Turin?

In the city centre, street parking is almost everywhere paid during daytime hours, and rates rise as you get closer to the core. Multi-storey car parks charge daily rates: over a long weekend the total easily matches the price of a night's accommodation. Free white bays exist, but in central districts they are rare and nearly always taken.

Then there is the ZTL: on weekdays, during daytime hours, access to the central zone is reserved for authorised vehicles. Many central properties can register a guest's number plate, but it must be done in advance and it only covers driving to the accommodation, not driving around town.

Is it worth keeping a car in Turin?

Almost never. Central Turin is compact and flat: nearly everything you visit — the Mole Antonelliana, the Egyptian Museum, Palazzo Reale, Piazza San Carlo, the Quadrilatero, Parco del Valentino — sits within walking distance. The metro, tram and bus network covers the rest. A car is for getting here and for day trips — Superga, the Langhe, the Palace of Venaria, the Sacra di San Michele — not for moving around the city.

Hence the choice that really changes the budget: a place with its own parking outside the ZTL, the car left there, the city reached by public transport or a ten-minute drive.

Where to stay near Turin with free parking?

The hills are the most convenient option: they begin right behind the river Po, so "outside the city" still means ten to fifteen minutes from the centre. Pino Torinese sits on the hill ridge, on the road towards Superga and Chieri.

The Paradise – Nature & Wellness B&B is here: two independent flats with private entrance, free on-site parking inside the property, no restricted zone, no paid bays, no garage to book. You leave the car in front of the house and stay free to use it when you want.

How do you reach the centre without the car?

GTT bus 30 connects Pino Torinese to Turin; the stop is about a ten-minute walk away. By car, the drive down to the centre takes 10–15 minutes outside rush hour. If you would rather leave the car parked, take the bus down and keep the car for day trips.

What you gain besides the parking

Quiet. There is no night traffic on the hill: you sleep with the window open.

Green. A leafy garden, a lawn, an outdoor table for breakfast and dinner.

Superga minutes away. The basilica and the trails of the hill nature park start practically at the door.

No hidden extras. Breakfast and parking are included, and booking directly on the website means no platform commission.

In short

If you are driving to Turin, the maths is simple: a central place with paid parking costs, every day, a good share of the nightly rate. Sleeping on the hill ten minutes from the centre, with parking included and no restricted zone, removes the problem entirely — and gives you a garden as well.
